How to stop glare on a plasma?

Post » Sat Dec 21, 2013 9:46 pm

I've had a Panasonic plasma for about a year now. Absolutely love it, but the purchase of a PS4 has caused a tiny - but nevertheless annoying - problem. The DualShock 4's "Light Bar" (used for Move tracking) is so bright that it actually causes glare on the screen. This is especially annoying during one or two of my games, where it flashes pink really fast when you're low on health.

So, I'd very much like to try and solve this problem. Anyway I can stop the glare, since you can't as of yet turn the "Light Bar" off?

I checked the controller settings and no you can't turn off the light on the controller.

I don't have a PS4, but this "light" on the controller, could you not just cover it with a piece of masking tape? or would that cause performance issues?

Unless you have the PS4 camera (Sony's answer to the XB1's kinetic 2) I don't think covering up the light on the controller will effect performance.

I'm reluctant to shove tape over my new hardware. Haha.

Wear sunglasses or cover your TV screen with a blanket...or both. You could also try wearing a blindfold, but that sounds dangerous.

Are there any cases for the controllers? One which perhaps covers the "Light Bar"?
