Hey, as a MMO fan I am looking forward this game as it looks promising to me, but I haven't played any other TES games, and I was wondering if it is better to maybe play some Skyrim or another TES game first (to learn some lore and the basics of the series, etc.), or should I jump straight into TESO? What would you guys suggest to me?

i had the same thought, but i regret it after buying skyrim i dont like play single player games, im used to play mmo's aswell

If you like lore and single player games, sure.

Otherwise it's a waste of your time, It won't give you any special insights on how to play ESO.

Oblivion and Skyrim are reduced price now on Steam, if you're going to try them do it now!
