Neither for me, as i have no plan of playing an imperial.

On the other hand I don't support shady business practice either.

Double dipping and putting up paywalls for content before release is a bad sign of the publishers future intentions.

Would you have rather them put those things in a store at least they were up front and not hiding anything from anyone.

In what world is explicitly stating that a race isn't going to be in game, then adding them in the game and putting them behind a paywall not hiding anything from anyone?

I'd rather they be part of the standard box price and subscription cost, just like every other race in the game. If this wasn't a subscription game, then it wouldn't be such a big deal. But asking us to pay extra for imperials on top of the standard box price and sub cost is shady dealing at best.

You could teach them a lesson with your wallet. If you don't like their business practices, then don't support them with your money. It's that simple. [censored]ing about it, saying they're evil but then giving them money anyhow is a bit hypocritical don't you think? The issue should be resolved for most of the complainers. They should have walked away to wait for the next big game that won't fulfill 100% of their requirements.

BWAHAHAHA

I wonder if this is grounds for a suit over misleading advertising? (only half-kidding)

The solution is simple, buy the STANDARD version, and get everything you were promised in the FIRST PLACE, or buy the CE, which was NOT announced before, and get some extra content.

What if people who bought the CE DONT make an Imperial, and then they release a paid for DLC that REQUIRES an Imperil to play it? And what if, on top of that anyone who bought the CE but DIDNT make/play an Imperial before the DLC came out cant create one after the fact? Or they can but if they created it after the DLC date it cant enter it.

The people who paid extra up front and paid extra for the DLC paid extra right? So they have the right to have it. Anyone who didnt pay extra or didnt take full advantage of those extras arent missing out on anything they didnt pay extra for are they?

If I want to pay for a sub AND pay for 'extra' DLC content I should be able to right? I am not stopping anyone from seeing the CORE game am I? Its just some 'fun stuff' DLC with a couple quest chains and a few novelty armor pieces. Nothing to get upset about. If you wanted to play an Imperial you should have made one you paid for it. Now that there is something for them to be necessary for youre all whining and crying.

That is how that little scenario would go, it really isnt that far off what we have here. Other than they created content for that 'special' race. Which if the race svcks people might want anyway. Thats how pay to win people think.

People who switched from the DIGITAL standard edition to the DIGITAL collectors edition didnt do it for the mudcrab or the rings, or probably even the horse.

They did it to play an Imperial and 99% of them expect it to have some benefit beyond just a 're-skin'.

Content which all the standard players will have as well on their game disk/in their downloaded game files, but will not have access to because it was put behind a paywall.

We realize you are apathetic...your name spells it out.

Not paying doesn't do crap when you don't constantly remind the devs why you're not paying.

This isn't a F2P game.

This is a sub game. This SHOULD mean everybody gets the same game, and nobody can pay more or less for any less or more content.

For example, why net neutrality is so important and why the internet is probably doomed.

Well I'm buying the standard edition cause Imperial doesn't really matter to me since I already have 9 races to choose from and I can only play 1 character at a time.
