mad max-inspired build

Post » Sat Sep 12, 2015 10:36 pm

I honestly never watched any of the movies but I plan to play the new game at some point, so decided to bite the bullet (metaphorically), and try a build inspired by the road warrior himself. Any ideas on how to build the character (SPECIAL, Traits and Perks mainly, but some advice on skills too). All I know is that he uses a shotgun, and probably has some skill in brawling (again never watched the movies, so unknown if he actually is good in a fist fight.

Feel free to throw any and all ideas out, and if you have actually seen the films, all the better.

Unarmed and a sawed-off the whole game.

Max had a concealed machete at one point, and also set up a clever booby-trap on his car.

So this might mean melee weapon skill too, and possibly some explosives and/or repair expertise.

He did manage to keep "the last of the V-8s" going for quite a while.

At the beginning of the 3rd movie he had a LOT of concealed guns on him, so he had some Sneak skill too.

And of course you will have Rex as your faithful sidekick, right?

For skills I would guess focus on Unarmed, Guns, Repair, Explosives and Sneak maybe?

Will for Certain have Rex as my companion. Too bad there are no cars in-game. Maybe I could throw a mod in for that.

Any ideas for traits?

Old Lady Gibson has the unique sawed off. Reversepickpocket or kill her to get it.

I personally was thinking of using the regular anyways.

I know that for Special, maybe low luck and probably mid intelligence, or something like that. Perhaps endurance is good too, unknown about the rest.

I'd say above average strength since he's a decent melee fighter in the movies, but bigger opponents give him trouble. Low charisma since he's an introvert and loner that is often rude and apathetic if not outright hostile towards others. Finally I'd give him average agility since in the films he seems to have adequate reflexes, but they aren't terribly impressive.

Now that you mention it, a pretty high Endurance seems logical. He survived some serious wrecks and injuries in the films.

Of course, I may make mine a female, but yeah, it does seem logical. So regardless of gender, I say Strength=6-8, Perception=5 (no mention of this really), Endurance=8-10, Charisma=1-3 (I usually go lowest of three for the most part anyways), Intelligence=4-6 (middling), Agility=5, Luck=1-3.

Skills tagged are guns, repair, unarmed

Traits are still up in the air.
