I've been seeing many Anti Fallout 4ers (wish I could think of a better name) use this as their argument.

"Well this is all we get for a game that's been in development for 7 years?"

No. Not 7 years. Have you forgotten that a lot of that time was used for the creation of Skyrim and it's DLCs?

Now they may have conceptualized the local, areas and stories (which go through many phases before they even start working on the game) after FO3, the actual creation of the game world probably took maybe 2-3 years, who knows maybe even less.

As I said you all are free to your opinion and I won't try to sway you, but stop using that to defend your argument because it isn't entirely true.

The problem that exists on internet forums is that many of the people posting topics and/or complaining are simply not playing the game. The vast majority of people who are loving the game are actually playing, not spending their time on forums.

There's nothing wrong with the game. People like to complain because things aren't exactly the way they want them to be.

Some complaints are legitimate, of course. And others are just personal preferences.

I know the game is good when I can start playing it and then lose track of time.

They are entitled to their own opinion & should be grateful Bethesda has given then a place to air their grievances. But what I cant seem to grasp is why with all the lousy over-hyped garbage that has been released in the past year FO4 is actually the diamond in the rough it's stable plays for the most part like FO3 & NV and is honestly fun to play this of course is my own personal opinion but really compared to games like Destiny FO3 is vastly superior in both content & appearance

despise the game, such a strong statement. and only harkens to fact that folks who use this terminology to describe the views of others aren't listening in any sense of the word.

Why make a thread about a "demographic"? this is a forum to discuss the game, not the people who play it. at least those who "despise" the game are talking about the game.

Plus people tend to complain about products more than they compliment. If someone buys something and likes it they probably will never tell it, however if they don't they might contact the manufacturer and let them know. Same applies to entertainment such as movies and games.

If you are on the forums to relax and maybe learn some tips or share some and don't want the negativity, it's best to just not look at those threads that have more hostile or nitpicky titles.

Yes, we have turned to the dark side and enjoy despising the game especially because sweet angels have spent so much afford into it! And it feels good to abuse the right to express of hatred and laugh of our evil deeds ...

Honestly this. I can almost tell when a thread is going to be rant thread by the title alone. People complain about these so-called complaints threads all the time and yet they are the ones to respond to them the most. If you don't want to be exposed to complaining then how about avoiding a thread called "Fallout 4 is not a true rpg".

Doesn't anyone want to discuss game related topics anymore? I've been on n off throughout the day..I have easy access thru my iPad..and play the game on PS4..and every time I come on there seems to be like 4-5 threads about 'oh I love this game' and 'eww I hate this game'..isn't there any other forum sites to go and discuss that? I get it some ppl love the game (I'm one of them)..and others do not..but I come here for advice from others, and possibly share my experiences as well to help each other..and most them threads get buried on page 2 because of all the love/hate threads..

OP, I am totally enjoying the game. The other night, both of my stepsons and I were each playing Fallout and having a great time - we are all at different levels. My husband is the outsider, playing Battlefront at the moment, Heh.

I keep meaning to start a thread of "what I did in the Commonwealth today", but don't have the time to moderate it so that we can have some fun with it.

So... You decided to make a thread to specifically state that you do not like other people expressing their opinion that doesn't tie in to your point of view?

Whoops, actually, I should have locked the thread, because we do ask members not to bother making threads that complain about the complainers.

Look, it's wicked fashionable to hate on things on the internet, its also prevalent for many people to arm-chair quarterback game development, when they are not actually game developers. And people just love their games from the past, or like to make arguments splitting hairs on what "is" or "isn't" a game, or a type of game. This forum allows for people to criticize as long as they abide by the forum rules.

If people are slamming into threads with repeated negative comments, just report it, moderators are dealing with it. If people are rude to each other on either side of a discussion - pro or con - report it, don't get baited.
