Hush Dogmeat!

Post » Sat Jan 09, 2016 5:39 pm

I love mods, but this one gets five stars from me, and a hearty 'thank god!' I put up with Dogmeat in the early game, at least until I can get 2 points into the Lone Wanderer perk. But I sneak ALL the time, and his incessant whining/growling/ sounds in sneak mode drive me freaking batty. This mod shuts him up and gives you blessed peace and quiet while sneaking. Seriously. Whining constantly? Who at Bethesda thought THAT would be cute or something?

A man after my own heart. I stopped adventuring with dogmeat because of exactly that. I will use this mod for my next run through. IF I run with Dogmeat again.

Apparently you've never met a German Shepherd. Pretty accurate actually.

For a long time, I thought he was whining and whatnot because he was sensing enemies nearby, or sniffing some loot. So I was following him. Never found anything. Then I realised I wasn't truly following him, but leading him in a random direction with my crosshair :).

I had no idea they were so whiney. Thank goodness I don't have one.

Not whiny, but vocal. They do do a lot of huffing, whining, yipping and barking. Love 'em though!

Awww, he's just a dog with serious brain damage. I mean he gets the snot beaten out of him constantly. Will not back off, he's my handicap. I talk to my pets: "Just be quiet, you'll set the whole place off ..... oh well". ;) It amuses me.

Yeah, I have noticed that Dogmeat has turned me into his leader human. Still like adventuring with him though.

I needed him at the start as my computer ran the game so poorly I couldn't fight on my own when things got too busy. I got the mod about the time I upgraded my machine and was able to dismiss him, so I never actually got to use the mod. It looks very useful, however. I really hated it when he started spitting up. Gross!!

Trying to get through all the other companions before I go back to my Dogmeat. He's honestly the only one I actually want to spend extended periods with.

I can handle all of them except Codsworth & Curie. Sorry you C&C lovers. They just get on my nerves.
