Hello everyone,

current status: lvl 34, main story finished

After assaulting a death claw that tried to kill me, I simultaneously tried to heal myself which resulted in me loosing my head instead of dying.

Right after this I suffered from a concussion and no head.

To heal, I tried:

- suicide (my head was back, outward appearance)

- stimpack + doctor (no results)

- going in and out of the power armor (concussion was gone + and the head regained its full energy in pip boy)

THOUGH: Three issues that literally still bug me:

1. I can't speak, I do not a have voice i.e. I can't hear myself think anymore

2. I got perception lvl 8, but it seems it is 0 now (can't use V.A.T.S. as it only makes sense if I am at a one meter distance which is ridiculous)

3. My haircut is gone! If I take of my helmet I am bold - so I can't go to the hairdresser anymore. The barber would take my money, but wouldn't serve me.

I tried to find a fix for this online, but all of the other games are having similar struggles.

I was really looking forward to exploring this incredible game now that I've finished the main story, but all of the fun is gone now.

This makes me really angry.

Anyone having the same issues or better advise on how to fix this?

Why didn't you load a save to before it happened? Surely you have regular saves? And not just quicksaves and autosaves, but manual saves as well.

I got quicksaves only and before I even noticed how severe the problem actually is there were like four autosaves. Goes without saying that I'd done this if possible.

I've encountered a similar issue, but my head is still attached, though it did seem to disappear after I wore a Hazmat suit, but I reloaded before *that* particular glitch.

I was also fighting a Death Claw and he crippled my head which caused my perception to debuff, healed myself eventually, but now my perception is still stuck in debuff and my character can't speak anymore.

He was also bald after wearing some hats, but that was fixed by getting a haircut or getting in my power armor.

I have heard from some places that if you can recripple your head and then heal from a stimpak that it may reset the error. But ALSO that entering Power Armor before that (Which I did) will cause that to not work because the appendage is then unable to be crippled it seems.

So I'm stuck until Bethesda addresses the issue, or if I want to sacrifice things and try to find an early enough save on my cloud storage or something, which is sure not ideal since I've done a bunch of stuff since then.

I can still play the game okay and still get perks associated with the appropriate level of Perception I should have (in the perk chart it all looks normal, but in my stats it's low) and my character doesn't speak. I can still trade with my companions, and talk to regular NPC's and even succeed in some dialogue checks, but just get no audio from my character.

I also can't talk to my companions about our relationship or tell them to move or stay put, they just stay quiet then.

REALLY hoping Bethesda addresses this issue soon as I don't really want to complete the main storyline without being able to hear all of the dialogue.
