I contacted Bethesda support and got a reply back 2 weeks ago that says "I deeply apologize for our confusion regarding the platform that you are currently playing Fallout 4 on. As previously mentioned however, we do not have a work around for this issue. With this in mind, please load a previous save file from before you began the "Old Guns!" quest.
Should no recent save file be available, the only other options at this time is to start a new game to continue playing Fallout 4. I'm very sorry for having to make that recommendation as I know you will be losing countless hours of gameplay however we do not have a way to repair your save file.
Should you need to start a new game, please make sure to create a new save file each time you save the game and when you end your play session."
Was really hoping this would have been worked on by now!
