One Drive (by implication Windows 10/Microsoft) sounds really intrusive :nope:

Yap have long disable and totally remove onedrive. One of the annoyances of Win10 is auto Windows update. MS forces them on you. I just disabled the services and only chooses to do Windows updates when I want to.

The reason for auto Windows Update is there are lots of people who would not get their system patched thereby closing security holes and fixing bugs if they have to remember doing it manually. I totally agree Win10 is a bit too nosey.

The thing is, some times those updates causing problems on different applications.

Therefore you can Defer updates on W10 Pro. (but not available on lower Editions)

Now check that reason out:

You can defer updates to ensure they’ll receive more testing before they make it to your PCs.

Microsoft will roll feature updates out on Windows 10 Home PCs first, and all those home users will effectively act as beta testers for you.

if there are any problems with those updates, they should be found and fixed by the time they become mandatory on Windows 10 Pro.

If you don't like to test major updates to ensure they don’t break important software, you can defer upgrades but only on higher editions of W10.

SOUNDS THAT HEALTHY TO YOU?

Why? Are some users second grade users, and must beta test those updates for Micro$oft?

That's the biggest BS i ever heard, actually...

They think home users are idiots. All users should be able to defer not security related updates.

The counter-argument is that they better test updates when much of the user base is patching their o/s.

Should be an opt-in feature, maybe with incentives like discounted software or something.

Glad I never touch 'onedrive', useless rubbish for options of storage imo. Disable or delete asap! regardless of FO4 issues!
