Hi. I have a little problem with my fallout4. Always when I opens an inventory to forexample to a chest or bartering to someone the game automaticly crashes, sends me right back to my windows. I have been trying to fix it myself for a month now, and have not come far. I have been restarting the game and such but does not work.

It would be great if I could get some help. thank you!

Mods? Does it happen on a new game?

Post a dxdiag report, please.

Use the Search box or Run... box, type: cmd and press Enter.

In the command prompt, type:

dxdiag /t dxdiag.txt

and press Enter.

Now go to the %userprofile% directory (C:\User\), find the dxdiag.txt file. Open the file. Select All. Copy and Paste its contents here in a reply. Use the spoiler tags, by either using the following:

Lets see, yes I do have mods but the mods are not the issue. The game crashes in the same way without mods, but my issue happend *after* I had downloaded mods. I have contacted the NMM network (its there my mods come from) and they or he said that it wasnt the mods that caused the issue.

I thught that the issue fixed itself if I delited all and start on new, but did not work.

Have you done a game cache verify? Delete the ini files here: C:\...........\Documents\My Games\Fallout4

What mods are you using specifically?

Am not the greatest computer person, so I kinda dont understand what to do. also I cant find any *ini* files named thing on C:\...........\Documents\My Games\Fallout4 and cache verify did not fix the issue.

heyy listen! I fixed the inventory crash my self but now I got an other issue! Now the game crashes when am going to the city near the red roket place. Had to start over so am on the first quest, and when I go to that city or village the game crashes and send me back to my windows. . . I dont know but am starting to be VERY tierd of that the game are crashing. you have no idea. I fix the issue and then just an other crashing issue come. . . its the god dman 5th time now!

Its the mods that is affecting your game. The official creation kit is not out and all these mods that people released, you are taking a big risk running them.

People are using the same way they mod skyrim on F04. Though there are similarities, there are differences too. For example, F04 stores texture map differently as compared to skyrim.

What? In order to use mods you would have had to have made .ini changes.

Modding FO4 at this stage is still very much a no guarantees affair. For which at least some (more then basic) knowledge on what you can expect to work or not work is required. I don't want to seem blunt but maybe at this stage you'd better hold off.

Having said that, I do run mods.

To troubleshoot:

Revert the game back to it's vanilla state. So undo all mods and changes. (Easiest solution for you might be a complete reinstall of the game.) -> Verify game cache. -> Start a new game. -> See if the crash still occurs.
