Was wondering if The rifleman perk works with non automatic laser rifle and if you can get the knockdown effect from a scoped laser rifle. Thx in advance

Yes. The distinction between conventional firearms and energy weapons only matters for crafting and the magazine perks.

Soo...if i put a scope on my laser rifle the knockdown effect from the sniper effect would work? And one more question does the knockdown effect work for....oh you know....Deathclaws?

Knockdown effect works with any scoped non-automatic rifle, I use it myself. And yes it has a chance to knock anything back. Very handy.

I freeze, burn, knock down and crit my enemies to death using hipfire with my scoped laser rifle, probably a good 500dps too with all the hits I can muster per second.

Freeze damage would be from a Legendary mod, Burn damage from the Capacitor, Knockdown would be from the perk, and Crit would be VATS.

I add 25% crits to real time using the console and the hidden perk (I don't use VATS and I like my crits to be random and in real time).

You can also freeze your enemies use the Cryolator, that uses cyro ammo. It's heavy to carry around and ammo is rare and very expensive to buy. But a few shots from that and your enemy is frozen, switch to another weapon and shatter him/her/it.
