If testing beta update(s) Don't run mods modifications

Post » Sun Jan 17, 2016 4:47 pm

I'm trying to figure how beta works, but I must say that I'm a little dissapointed of some of the posts. Bethesda disabled the option to add mods for now, because the players who want to run beta(s) and test it, welcome to report fails/bugs and things that may needs some tweaks. If the players run mods or any kind of changes, it's more difficulty to say if it's game itself and/or the mods.

Cheers,

I agree and I disagree.

It is best to test the beta on a vanilla game.

But running the beta on a modded game is also helpful since it will help determining possible issues with the upcoming patch and mods. I do fully agree that giving feedback here whilst running a modded game is ridiculous though.

I'm testing beta now, unmodded except changed timescale to 6 via console command :-)

I'm pretty sure at least one user on this very forum solved long loading times issues by disabling all mods. So yeah, reporting problems on a modded game doesn't really make much sense to me, if anything it confuses the devs and I believe it's the last thing they/WE need atm. I've applied the patch on a completely vanilla game [all mods uninstalled, fresh .ini and game cache veryfied] and I haven't stumbled upon a single issue others have reported

I haven't noticed any long load times and I do have around 40 mods running, I still need to play more to see if anything does impact my performance.
