50/50 myself. Love the ambient music but I really enjoy some of the great radio choices. I listen to my Andrews Sisters library most of the time though. You should listen to Glenn Miller and the Girls doing "In the mood" during a firefight, pretty sweet.

This is starting to become a problem for me in Fallout 4. I have no issue with the return of previous radio songs as I loved all of them from Fallout 3 and never got tired of hearing them. But there are a few new songs that I lead to me instantly turning off the radio the second I hear them. Though overall, I find most of the new songs they brought on were great additions. I'm always happy to hear more of Nat King Cole. But the next time I have to hear "Right Behind You Baby" or one of the songs having to do with uranium or whatever, I'm going to snap.

As for the ambient soundtrack. I like it well enough, more so over Fallout 3 for that matter. But overall, I still prefer the music of New Vegas, both that from Inon Zur and of the original game's soundtrack brought back and reused. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KlUkvrYtWRk

I think what sells Fallout 4's radio station over New Vegas for me is the way they tie the music into the themes - New Vegas had music that fit the Vegas High-Roller and Wild West vibes of the game really well, but having the songs fit into the post-apocalyptic setting and the main story just happens more often in 3 and 4. Songs like "It's All Over (But the Crying)" or "End of the World" take on a whole new meaning not just in the context of Fallout 4's setting, but with the themes of losing your family too.

New Vegas certainly had plenty of great songs, but I think I still have to give it to Fallout 4.

I like return to Fallout1/2 theme and style. Music is definitely my favorite part of the game.

The music was okay for the most part but I ended up turning it off. I do have the classical radio playing in my settlement. For instance, at Red Rocket I have one radio in every room so the volume is louder and no matter where I am I can hear it.

I stopped tuning my Pip-Boy to the radio stations halfway through Fallout 3.


You come across enough working radios just walking around that I find I hear all the songs just enough they don't get too repetitive.


I really like the ambient music though, I think they did a great job there. And I like the radio songs, but there's never going to be enough of them for how long a game this is.

Love the music, but Inon Zur is a genius. The radio stations, hardly ever listen to them, though i like some of the songs on there. Also like how the music changes from faction HQ to faction HQ. Its a huge step up from Fallout 3.

Railroad's music is definitely my favorite of the faction tunes. For the regular ambient tracks, my favorite might be the playlist going on around the Sanctuary area, especially at night. Just brilliantly creepy sci-fi ambience.

Yeah, I also like how each faction has a theme, though each is kind of subtle like how the rest of the ambient music is. It was kind of odd, though, to have the Brotherhood theme playing every time I went to Sanctuary on one character for several days.

Love the ambient music. In fact, it's probably my favorite music in any game - normally I turn off the music after a short while as I find it distracting. I've played 100's of hours and I still hear new music now and then.

I myself love the NV radio station because I love real country and western music. I also really enjoyed the jazz stuff in FO 3. I never listened to jazz before that and it's just great. I like some of the stuff in 4 but find the ones I can't stand playing waaaaay too much.
