Automatron shops

Our created robots can be assigned to shop stalls, but when I try they never go behind the counter and their dialogue never has a trade option. I've tried to use hovering bots so that the larger legs/tracks don't get in the way of the counter but they usually hang around the side of the stall. Is anyone else having this problem?

They all operate like regular companions in dialog, meaning they will never be workable shopkeepers.
Not without a game rewrite at least.

I cannot get those stupid brahmin to trade either. They spend most of their existence blocking the stairs to my structures.

Brahmin would be no good as traders,

they'd have no caps as the settlers would milk them dry.

They could help Preston as there's always an udder settlement that needs help...
