Does Automotron fix the item drop through bug (PS4)?

Post » Wed Mar 30, 2016 12:25 pm

I was hoping that with Wasteland Workshop they would finally get around to fixing the item drop through bug, since that DLC will be all about settlements. But I just had the thought that they may have fixed it in Automotron, although it seems unlikely

I haven't bought it as it doesn't appeal to me but I'd buy it for that bug fix. Has anyone noticed or can confirm?

Thanks guys.

No, it didn't fix that "bug" because Bethesda doesn't consider it a bug, same reason they never fixed it in Skyrim.

The item bug was fixed in the last patch at least all of mine stayed put since then whereas they used to end up all over the place through tables, etc.

The bug was fixed in patch 1.4. My stuff has stopped falling through tables since then.

PS4 too, like I said nothing has fallen through since 1.04 for me though I don't put a huge lot of decorations just some of the toys, rockets, trucks and that and the odd alarm clock or ornament.

DLC don't include bug fixes. If this ever happened, that means they literally sell a patch.

Bug fixes only come through compulsory patches.

Yep, it already fixed. I'm on Xbox and I placed a bunch of stuff on tables just to test and none of them have clipped through yet. Explosion's will still knock stuff about, say for example a raider, robot or mutie fires a missile at the bottle tower you spent 2 hours constructing during an attack, it's gunna fall down. Stupid raiders.

It's slightly dependent on the player.. and I think also dependent on the number of items placed and when they were placed.

If you are a stickler for trying to organize items all the time it'll really get screwed up. Sometimes things fall.... just leave them and don't pick them up again and next time the place respawns, everything will be back to normal. If you constantly try to pick them up and reorganize stuff it'll just get worse and worse because the game loses track of the original placement order.

You also seem to reach a point where you just have too much stuff and the game can't keep track anymore. Items I've placed early in the game...everything is fine and has stayed where I put it. Later placed objects have trouble staying put. It's like once you reach a number of items placed.. it just has more trouble keeping track or something. Like magazines even. My first two magazine shelves are great. Nothing has ever fallen off those two. The later ones I started placing after the first two filled up are always screwed up.. magazines all over the floor.
