Automatron DLC Robot Personality Idea

Post » Wed Mar 30, 2016 4:25 pm

Hey guys, this is my first post here and I was thinking while visiting the General Atomics Galleria, wouldn't it be a cool idea if we could make non-combat robots? Like maybe we could find blueprints for merchant type personalities and parts at the GAG, and farmer type starter kits at Graygarden? That way we could make settlements entirely run by bots. My apologies if it is already possible, but from what I've seen it isn't. It would also give a reason to build so many alternate kinds besides pure pleasure.

Well the DLC did implement the ability to create unlimited bots and assign them to anything (except functioning merchants) as well as li'l eyebot pals to find resources for you. Just beware, robots never have anything other than a static 50% happiness so putting several of them in a settlement can really tank your happiness rating. (I don't think the eyebots have a happiness rating, but I might be wrong)

Edit: And welcome to the forum!

Thank you rookin! I didn't realise that, as when I tried to assign them to guard duty, farming, etc. it didn't work. Maybe I just didn't do something right, once I finish the quest line I'll go back and check. I really don't care much about happiness as long as it's above 50 lol. Right now I have them at red rocket which I've turned entirely into an Atom Cats settlement (Will probably post pictures when done).
