You get a ton more as you progress through the quests. And I've only found repair kits on robots which now spawn all through the commonwelath. They're very.... common

Not sure what you mean by "initial mods". As you pick up applicable junk, you'll get a notification on the top left that says something like "New items available in the robot workshop" or some such. That means you can go to the workbench and you'll have new stuff to build. I get new stuff constantly. So much that I get a bit overwhelmed frankly.

Had to make this smaller cuz it's annoying. But anyway... you don't have access to ALL the mods right off the bat when you first start the quest and build the station. I found that I had considerably more options after completing the DLC

I said that, in different words.

What I mean is you probably get 10ish mods from the robots you loot from the start of the first quest to the finish (dealing with the mechanist). I can make all robots and mod them with cool stuff BUT is there anything else out there that someone has found?

I have maxed out "armorer", "blacksmith", "Gun nut", "Science"... "Robot Expert" at #2.

As I said, you get more and more mods as you collect more junk. You'll get a notification on the top left as you pick up stuff and mods become available.

Sure, you said that in different, incorrect words.

You will pickup some parts but the bulk of it (and the best stuff) is UNLOCKED after the DLC is comeplete. If you had picked up every option for every part, it wouldn't cost you anything to build them the first time. Most stuff will require you to use junk and build it but only after it is unlocked at the end. But yeah there's some free parts you pickup that you don't need to waste resources on. There's still probably 50-60 parts you do not pick up

No, not incorrect. We're both correct.

I'd bet you can't pick up all of the mods available. NONE of the weapons on my bots were picked up. I know because I had to craft them, not just equip them from my picked up inventory. Robots drop generic arms and torso's mostly. I rarely get any armor or weapons. I mean maybe MAYBE if you just farmed the robots for an excessive amount of time with lots of legendary spawns.

So for what I assume is anyone not a crazy grind farmer, no you can't get all the mods just by killing robots. There were A TON of mods unlocked in the menu after I completed. Maybe I could still get those if they weren't unlocked? Idk but all of them I'd say would be a wild endeavor.
