I think this happened with the Automatron patch but I only noticed it last night. The frill distance has overall been really nice, but this has only been happening in this one part of the game and it's very distracting to see barren hills as I run over the sanctuary bridge.

Happening on Xbox. Be interested to hear feedback from others and also PS4 owners. I'm thinking PC owners might not have this issue.

Don't really see how this is an issue Seeing mountains in the distance in real life has never been distracting, so why would it now?

It's an issue because Bethesda considers good frill distance important. They mentioned how they improved frill distance on the consoles quite recently, but this particular chunk of the map is broken.

Also did you not catch the pylon spawning right in front of me? I've tested this after restarting and that pylon was loaded and visible from as far back as the red rocket station itself which is about 220 metres distant. So the thing is supposed to be loaded in from at least 220 metres, but it's actually loading in at 60.

Not an issue? Are you one of "those people" that never sees an issue with anything?

Floating cables and pylons with stealth boy ?

That's a way to kill immersion , I'm not seeing this because patch 1.4, season pass or Automatron is NOT available to Japan , so yeah just passing...

Edit:In the patch 1.3 I can see the pylons from the Red Rocket .

Well Japan DOES know a thing or two about robotics. An engineer over there would see a Gen3 and say:

"...*yawn*... 's ok, I guess... That's the best skin you could make?"

Probably the same reasons why games from Japan take months to be released outside , when they actually get released outside...

Bethesda doesn't give any info about this matter so , I have to wait blindly .

On PS4 with the 1.4 patch. Nothing wrong here. Can see those power lines/towers from miles away.

Cheers, thanks for the effort helping narrow this down a bit.

I don't see the issue all the time either. When it occurs, I can switch characters and still see the problem. Restarting the console fixed it. Can't remember if simply quitting and restarting the game fixed it or not.

I saw that, and I was all "is that what this is about?" and I just shrugged my shoulders. Draw distance or frill or whatever. Doesn't break my immersion, really.

Sometimes after playing for quite awhile, the game seems to get a bit glitchy for me as well. Draw distance like yours, lots of texture popping or just lots of lag. A good restart of the system always helps. Might have to do with the cache system not letting go of information or something. I don't really know. I just pretend my machine needs a little break. "you tired lil' guy? Need a break?. ok.. here, you reboot while I go to the bathroom. ."
