Doc! - No!

Post » Wed Mar 30, 2016 11:26 pm

I'm in shock, or in mourning. Maybe both. Doc Weathers is dead. Full out dead. I'm wondering around by the U.S.S. Constitution. I hear gunfire around the corner. Full out battle between Rust Devils, some generic raiders and some caravan guards. I just in and take out my share of the bad guys. As I'm looting the bodies, there is Doc, crumpled at the bottom of the steps. It was his caravan, I guess 'essential' only gets you so far.

I'll miss him.

I think only the player character can kill him. Hell, I've seen the guy take mini-nukes.

If I'm right then.......you killed him, Fawkes.

I've heard it said that only the player can kill certain people, traders among them. Hell, my Abernathy settlers were face-tanking mini nukes from my robot companion earlier today and then walking it off, so I have a sneaking suspicion that you accidentally took out the good Doc yourself. Maybe a poorly placed grenade or explosive shot.

I'm sure I chucked multiple grenades during the fight. Since I added the perk that gives grenades arcs I've been using them a great deal more. Oh well, I guess I need to check my murder stats.

It would be good if no Caravans would ever do business with you again.

Hey, repercussions, right?

Word would get back to Old Man Stockton, and you'd quickly become persona non grata.

But I don't think the game is that sophisticated, heheh...

Hahaha thought I was the only one who killed him accidentally . In a super mutant attack in Finch Farm (I guess, dnt remember) , he was stupid enough to get too close of a pack of muties that I was shooting with an explosive weapon , then he decide to stuck his head in the entrance of my settlement , i have this in video but ... didnt want to pimp.

I now also wonder whether I killed Lucas as well. He is dead, I was there (I think I followed it up by killing his caravan guards). Is there a tally of my indiscretions?

Since so can create my own vendors. I could live with repercussions like that.

Nor have you any idea of the little ones they left behind, eh? You cold, unfeeling bastard :P

Although I did let Cricket die once. She skillfully intercepted a Super Mutant's rocket, which was otherwise bound for my face.

she's a good vendor, i haven't ever had any of the merchants die yet, they seem pretty indestructable but if that did happen, i would reload a previous save i ain't missing out on any merchants, i use em all.
