How do I start the Automatron questline?

As you jump into Automatron, here's some helpful pointers for getting started.

  1. Make sure you have the 1.4 update for Fallout 4 installed. You can ensure you've done this by going to the Settings Menu and ensuring you see v 1.4 in the bottom right corner of the menu.

  2. This update also adds "Add-Ons" to the game's Main Menu. If you select this option, you should see that Automatron is installed.

  3. Load up a Fallout 4 game save.
    1. NOTE: You must have a save where your character is at Level 15.

  4. When you load your save, you should get a new Radio Signal and Quest Pop Up. To begin the Mechanical Menace questline, open your Pip-Boy and listen to the Caravan Distress Frequency on your radio.

  5. You're on your way... have fun!
