[REL] Harder Necessities of Morrowind

http://www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/44465/?

This is an edit of the popular needs mod "Necessities of Morrowind" which requires you to eat, drink and sleep or suffer various penalties.

In the original NoM, the penalty for going without food, drink or sleep were simply a minor burden spell, and weaknesses to disease and blight, both of which I felt had no real consequences to the player. Considering the weight of the mod, I felt the penalties should be more severe.

Harder NoM changes the following:

Hunger will drain personality and endurance.
Thirst will drain agility and willpower.
Not sleeping will drain speed and luck.

(All between 10-20 point increments per day)

Also the well fed fatigue perk has been removed.

Thanks to Taddeus for allowing me to upload this edit!

=============

Strength I left alone as the original Burden penalty for going without food or drink sort of accomplishes this. Intelligence tended to be buggy and not restore the players magicka, so I replaced that with a personality drain for hunger. (People get moody when they havent eaten!) All the original mod's penalties remain.

*** NOTE ***

This is ONLY an edited ESP file, so you must download the original mods assets, which you can do so here - http://mw.modhistory.com/download-53-12114

Sounds very good! When I start my next playthrough with NOM I will consider using your version! Or your edit of Bare Necessities... hmmm, decisions... :D

"Hunger will drain personality..."

Yep. Can confirm.

Cool sounding mod, Ethetan! I'm always all for mods which make the game more difficult.

Looks great! Is it safe to add to an existing game with NoM already installed? or is a new game required?

Also, what weather-modifying mods would you recommend be used with it? Looking for mods that cause blight storms to give blight, in particular.

It should be ok to add to an existing save, though you may get a popup about a mod change.

Good weather penalty mods and blight storm mods can both be found in the survival guide linked in my sig :)

I can't watch that at the moment, but is it a Snickers commercial? Lol.
