Uninstalling Steam Morrowind

Post » Mon Aug 08, 2016 5:29 am

I am not giving up on the game. I just don't like how long the file path is for the Steam location. However, when I start trying to uninstall it I get an error.

"The InstallShield engine (iKernel.exe) couldn ot be launched.

Class not registered"

Can anyone help me figure this out, so I can uninstall and reinstall the game in a more convenient file path?

Just copy the whole MW folder to where you want it and leave (and ignore) the Steam install.

There's no other background files, such as in the registery, that will have an issue with doing that?

Well, that's exactly what I did to set up a clean install to use as a base for my OpenMW game and I had no problems. I did run it once to make sure it worked.

ok. I can get it to open... it won't interact with Steam anymore, though, it seems. Even TESCS works just fine.
