Hi all, topic says it all...

youtube video: "Unable to recieve dragon soul", by username Paulinjo988.

It happened already during first dragon fight in the game where I was compeled to use cheat in order to absorb the soul to finish/pass the quest.

Any idea how to solve this? Thank you in advance.

Have you ever managed to absorb a dragon soul or is it just specific dragons that won't cough up? If it's the latter, it might be because you already killed the dragon at that location before which prevents you from getting another soul once the dragon respawns. So if you kill the dragon at Ancient's Ascent and go back after the area resets you won't get a soul from the second dragon. I'm not sure if USLEEP or any other patch mods fixes this or not.

Also are you using mods and have you done a game cache verify for good measure?

Do you have Dragonborn DLC and did you start the main quest of it. I believe sometimes dragon souls can not be absorbed since Miraak (Sp?) steals them

Do you have any mods that modify dragons at all? Because its a known problem with certain scripts you'll have to remove them and/or the mods
