When I start a new game my character begins casting till all magic is gone. Afterwards I only have to attack and when combat ends I cast continuously again.


I've tried remapping casting but whatever button I use casting does not work unless I attack.


Background is that I've just installed steam edition and have Windows 10 and a GTX780 graphics card. I've tried remapping via within oblivion and via my mouses profile.


Any ideas?

Hi I fixed it by trial and error. I followed the ini guide above and nervously changed joystick to 0. It worked but after I reloaded the game it stopped again.


So I went into the settings I removed the joystick button for casting. So far it's working. Basically the game was seeing my mouse attack as the joystick casting. Just never occurred to me at this could be problem
