Battlefield 1 Discussion

Anyone else play Battlefield 1? I just got it for the PS4. (which I also just got on Black Friday)

So far I'm loving it. I love the control, the movement, and the overall atmosphere of the game. I'm mainly playing team deathmatch using scout sniping. It's hard but rewarding.

I played the open Beta on pc. I wish I had it but I'll wait for the GOTY so I can get the game and all dlc at a decent price.

I play it all the time. I'm mostly about the hardcoe conquest.

hardcoe makes the game more fun, you can team kill so enemies don't just shoot tank blasts and throw grenades into team mate groups and kill enemies while leaving the team alive.

Also it helps when you have a [censored] teammate camping in the middle of nowhere all match not helping take any spawn points, you can kill em and then get them to chase you for revenge into the battlefield and actually be forced to do something.

Makes the game more fun.

Operations is really fun, but right now you can't do it with hardcoe so I don't do operations too often.

But yeah, the graphics are amazing, the building destruction is way more advanced than it ever was, collision detection for climbing things and the animations that go with it are awesome. It goes so far that you can't lay on your belly and sit in the corner with your legs clipped through the wall anymore.

Been playing it myself every now and then with my brother and a few of his friends. It's definitely one of the better Battlefield games we've had in a long while. I usually like playing the classic Conquest or the new Operations. I really like Operations for feeling kind of like an actual battlefield (heh). One side pushes and the other holds the line. Think I almost like it more than Conquest.

I at first only had interest in playing as Scout because what is the fun in running around with SMGs and not bolt-action rifles in a WWI setting, but I've come to enjoy all the classes and utilize them all well. Still don't use the SMGs though. Prefer trench guns.

But yeah, it's a solid Battlefield game.

Frustration....playing as a medic (team deathmatch) and trying to revive team mates but only having them repawn themselves in seconds of being downed. Also i wish we could look around when were down.

Yeah team deathmatch is way more fast paced and people just wanna get back in the action. I find most people on conquest will wait for a revive, as long as you're within 20m of them so they can see you're nearby.

I hope we start seeing maps with more tickets. I loved the three hour long 5000 ticket matches in bf3.

I had it but sold it but I still liked it and I might get it again as a digital download. As for my opinion of the game----it's okay although most of WW1 was fought with bolt action rifles with VERY little fully automatic weapons I like to think of BF1 as more of an alternative WW1 then an actual historic WW1. My favorite modes are:

Operations.

War Pigeons.

Rush (this is SO Walker Assault but without the walkers).
