First Playthrough Feelings - What a big world we live in!

I'll make this brief, for I need to leave for my morning paper round.

Yesterday, I started up MW, hoping to start a questline for the first time in 160 hours of play. I made a Dunmer Priest (a far cry from my Orsimer Knight) and joined the Temple. In 15/20 days, I had become the rank of Curate and was presented with the task of the Silent Pilgrimage Quest, that required me to trek all the way across Vvanderfell, from Vivec to Dagon Fell.

I set off with potions of Rising Force (4), some Repair Prongs to repair my Silver Staff (10), and a Magika Bar (120-ish Magika) full [I had Atronach Sign].

It took me 5 days to trek, walking 16 hours a day, and resting 8 - eating what I could collect, and ran whenever Cliff Racers or Ashlanders presented themselves. After 3 days, my Staff broke with no repair prongs left, so I resorted to my inferior Short Blade Skill (16).

Never before have I been so nervous, on edge, and immersed in such a big world that has the Audacity to throws tasks such as this.

I almost cried when I reached Santancus Shrine. I almost cried.

Then, I did.
