Exporting morph animations using Blender

This isn't properly related to the CS, but I felt like it belonged this section more than the Mods section.

Basically I imported a head in Blender 2.49 and then modified it using Blender 2.76. I saved the changes using the legacy format and opened the project with Blender 2.49 to export the nif.

However, the exported mesh has no morph animations. How do I include them? Is it even possible? I've searched a tutorial but I couldn't find any.

EDIT: Eventually I exported the three models individually (normal, eyes closed, mouth open) and used them to make a new animation with 3ds Max.

I'd still like to know if it was possible to do that with Blender though.
