Did you join the Dark Brotherhood?

Did anyone here join the Dark Brotherhood?

I did. I think it's a fun quest line where you can brutally murder NPC's for a nice chunk of septims. Great if you're using Beast form or VL form to go about mass murdering a bunch of NPC's without getting a bounty.

I've done the DB once.. Bard/ Assassin, based loosely off of Jack Higgin's "Solo" book... it was a very fun play through..

While I started the DB any number of times, that is the only character that made it anywhere, it's not really my cuppa.. but the right story came along and it was fun.

I did on one of my first character just to see what it's about. Did all the missions too. Then later I did the opposite on subsequent characters once I read that you could. Too bad the game keeps crashing when you try to enter the Sanctuary near Falkreath after they're gone. Best thing I liked about the guild was perhaps the gear.

On my current character I'm going to try joining again and see how selective I can be with the quests.

I liked the questline very much. I thought the quest-related NPCs were more vivid and engaging and the story more interesting than either the Dark Brotherhood in Oblivion or the Morag Tong in Morrowind.

I enjoy it, but don't often do it. Usually only when it pertains to a story or competition. I think it's been a year or so since I last started it.

I'm a fan of the Dark Brotherhood. I'm technically not an assassin though, more of a mass murderer. I like wiping places clean.

In the case of Cicero, maybe too vivid.

In fact I did that quest twice. First time was utterly inadequate with the Nord Warrior type I do most of the time, just to see what the quest is all about. Well, that guy was clearly too loud, I would say. Second time more adequate as a stealthy Khajiit, who was absolutely not the Dragonborn by the way. Started the game through the console I think, to avoid being thrown into the thick of it with this whole "hero of legend" bit from the start. Only time I ever did a Khajiit.

Then of course I started the quest a third time as the usual healthy blond beast from the north, just to destroy this despicable bunch of lunatics B)

I had one character start the questline but he got disgusted with the group when they sent him after Narfi. Killing a mentally challenged person was beneath him. So he turned his back on Sithis. None of my other characters have felt much like joining a group of religious wackos.

I have not made a character in either Oblivion or Skyrim that had a reason to join the Brotherhood that also goes with the Thief's guild in either game. Maybe one day I will have character that will follow down that path.

I suspect the Listener is dead because I keep killing people and get no message from them. It′s getting hard to keep the police away, but so help me Mephala I′ll do it one day.

I did not join personally, but my chars... ... most of them have the goal to become the perfect assassin, the rest just enjoys to get paid for filling black soul gems.

Warrior class doesn't matter if you're a Lycan using the Ring of Hircine or are a Vampire Lord to successfully carry out murders for The Dark Brotherhood.

Those forms kind of insure you walk away clean without a pricy bounty for killing people out in the open. For example; Arnbjorn is a Lycan/ warrior type who is in light armor and uses two handed axes.

I myself always thought TDB was free for all classes as well just fun in general. I never saw any challenge in murdering an NPC other than enjoy doing it. Seeing as they have a mage, a lycan/warrior, and an Alikr warrior called Nazir.
