Failed: House Always Wins, I

Post » Fri Oct 08, 2010 11:02 am

A few days ago while in Vault 11, I got a prompt that for some reason I had failed this quest... I didn't think much of it at the time unfortunately, and now with quite a lot more hours put into the game, I've discovered I can no longer enter the Strip at all :(

I've read up on this particular issue, and what I want to know is, is this something that might be fixed in the upcoming PS3 Patch release?
Or, should I just bite the bullet and re-load allllll the way back to then and start over again?

Thanks

If you've failed a quest, then there's no undoing it. A quest cannot be "un-failed." However, you might be able to enter the strip if you take the tram from Camp McCarren. If that doesn't work, then there's not much else I can suggest.

I think you should just bite the bullet.
I don't consider what happened to you to be a bug. Without offering spoilers, some of the ... things, I guess ... in Vault 11 make sense as to being aligned with Mr. House.
In short, I don't think that there is anything in Vault 11 that a patch needs to address.

Either reload the closest save or wait for your next playthrough.

Just my half-cap.

You should explain the details to him, since I had the same problem originally. Basically, at some point in Vault 11, you'll run into turrets. DO NOT KILL THESE. They are owned by Mr. House for some reason. either sneak past them or disable them with Robotics Expert. Any other (Yes, ALL OF THE OTHER) enemies are safe to kill. I've tested this numerous times, and it's only hazardous to kill the turrets.
