Increase time between attacks?

Post » Sat Oct 30, 2010 4:23 am

Hi,
how can i increase the time between two attack shots? I modded the gauss rifle so it can fire now 6 shots before reloading. I want to have a attack time of 2.3 sec per shot. Is the only possible solution to modify the Attack Multiplier? For 2.3 sec per shots i have to set the multiplier to 0.175 and the attack looks a little bit strange. Is there another way to force a breaktime between 2 shots?

You already asked this twice. Don't keep asking until you get an answer you want.

Sorry, did not search for my old threads and use them. Will try to avoid this in the future. Is it possible to delete/close the other threads?

Back to the topic: Stretching the attack animation is looking a bit weird. Is it possible to modify a attack animation maybe? How complex is that?
Another solution would be to deactivate the attack for a time after firing. But it seems only possible for the player as far as i can see and also it might get glitchy when using VATS.
The most simple solution would be the stretch, but a new animation would look better. But is it possible to change the attack animation by hand and is it worth the time it will need?

You can ask a mod to remove old threads but their forum software doesn't let you delete or remove posts or replies, which I find rather odd.

And altering animations requires a good knowledge of the tools involved, enough so that I can't immediately see how because I'm not very experienced with said tools. I'm sure it can be done, but that should give you a rough idea of the expertise required.

Deactivating attack for a set time would be a highly suboptimal way to do it because it could theoretically lead to situations where the player could be left permanently unable to attack if the script were interrupted or didn't execute as intended.

There's no simple way to alter animations beyond speeding them up or slowing them down.

Sounds like this mod idea will be stalled for the moment. Have first to learn making custom attack animations and also my problem with the DT reduction for weapons (see other thread) is still there.
