Just start a new file.

Loyal is probably dead on your existing save file.

As with Fallout3's DLC, it is probably best to start a whole new game when a patch like this is released

Regardless, I don't think starting a new game is going to fix everything. The freezing for instance is most likely still going to be there which svcks because is the only thing keeping me from playing NV.

Only a fool would think that for a game this size and the amount of content within it that by the second patch that all the bugs will be forever gone.

Even with their older games like Oblivion and Fallout3, there still is lethal bugs. You just learn to work around them.

Also, you have to consider that there is issues with the Havok version they used and the company that owns Havok no longer supports the version this game uses.

Plus, you have the variation of hardware for PS3 that is out there due to different hardware builds. I honestly am curious if people started to list is they had the PS3 Slim or one of the older ones and see if it can be traced to a hardware/software conflict.

The ps3 version i use is the 160 GB CECHPxx or CECHQxx (north America release) and use the F:NV USA BLUS-30500

Well, Yes there was still bugs in FO3 and Oblivion but I have played through both of them several times. I can't even get to level 20 in NV before it crashes or I find a game breaking bug. I Don't expect a 100% bug free game but one that you can at least play through I do expect.

that's just it, I'm sick of having to start over and back track because of bugged content. i have started over too many times to count. I'm done for a while.

By my count. There is only 2 times where I described a restart is needed:

  • Patch 1
  • Patch 2

That is not that many times.

Hey there. We're trying to keep the number of duplicate/similar topics to a minimum on these boards. http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1147839-patch-102-does-it-even-work/ is already discussing this along the same lines. Please go ahead and continue this conversation over there.

Thanks!
