Patch 1.02 Bug List

Post » Tue Dec 14, 2010 11:14 pm

Guess we can start this over again.
Since the patch, I have had four lock ups, requiring manual restarts.
Two black screens, booted to the XMD, and out of the game.
Textures in Hoover Dam and The Strip not loading entirely.
VATS locking up after a reload on the .357 weapons, both lever action and revolver.
Horrendous framerates when multiple enemies engage.
Enemies getting stuck in terrain, constantly.
Rex getting half of his body stuck in the earth, near Lucky's Mine and the camp near it.
The list goes on. I haven't really seen any improvement at all, but it appears not many have.

Any thoughts or suggestions?

Well, I certainly can't speak for all the PC users out there but I have plugged about 90 hours in the game and have only crashed twice, the only noticeable bug I have experienced is the .357 magnum locks up when you reload it while sneaking. Aside from this, the game runs flawlessly at 60 frames per second on full settings even in high traffic areas.

That's really all I think it was, just like the first one. That's great for all those who could not complete quests, but what about those who just cannot play the game?
I love this game. This is my kind of game. I am level 30 and have discovered every location, and at the end of the game. But to get there, I endured things only a truly devot fan would. This game has been miserable to play. There is really no other way to describe it. Without my undying quench to know what was in that next building to keep me rebooting my system, I would have broken this game in half.

To those of you that think 1.02 or 1.2 or whatever is good enough, my hat is off to you.

And if you look hard enough, you can find some Xbox 360 and Ps3 users that sing a similar tale, but as a general consensus, the game is really in a poor state.

Anyone notice that this patch is labeled 1.02, yet the last "incremental" patch released on PC was 1.1.1, a higher number?

I just tried modding the weathered 10mm pistol with the laser sight, and while it does show up the laser does not. So far silencer and extended mag work though.

Started a new game, played a few hours and so far its running okay. Didn't have any major problems as of yet. The game feels easy though, even if I'm playing hardcoe mode and hard difficulty.
The only noticeable issue I got are the comments that people give me in Primm. I got them Meyers as Sheriff and they are all complaining about the NCR taking over the town. Kind of a bummer.
But this was a known issue before the patches. I guess they just didn't fix that one. Not that it really matters, but that's the only think I noticed.

Odd, they commented about Myers in my game.
