Will Fallout New Vegas fully support the Xbox 360 Controller

Post » Thu Dec 30, 2010 9:37 am

I don't known if this is a Window Games for Live supported titled like Fallout 3 was but will it fully support the 360 controllers like Fallout 3? I bought the 360 version of Fallout then learning it supported the 360 Controller for the PC so I bought the game twice :D

Also does anyone know what I could buy so my HDTV can also be used to see what I am doing on my computer? So I can hook my PC up to my big screen for Fallout New Vegas?

And just to repeat I am asking about the PC Version of Fallout New Vegas if it supports the Xbox 360 Controller for the PC like Fallout 3 did. Thank you

EDIT: Just read the FAQ some of my question is answered, any advice on a device to connect my PC to my HDTV?

It depends. Some graphics cards come with built-in HDMI ports. Most just have the normal VGA port. Some (if not most) HDTVs come a VGA port built in. I know that mine does.

What video outputs does your PC have?

What does the tv have for inputs?

Most HDtv will support a VGA connection, so you can use the same cable as you use with a standard monitor. If your computer supports HDMI, then use that, for the increased resolution and combined audio (although I still run my audio out to my stereo)

I use an HDMI cable to hook my computer up to my TV, if you don't have HDMI on your computer I reccomend you get a graphics card the supports HDMI because you'll get much better picture quality than a standard VGA cable when watching movies.

Most card's support HDMI today and they'r not to expencive compaired to 2 years ago.

Nice, so pretty much if your computer has an HMDI slot, no use to go out and by a VGA cord right?

I have the alienware aurora version the one best buy sold or still does. I am going to have to check for an HDMI port

If your video card doesn't have HDMI but has DVI output (and it should), use that--you can buy a DVI to HDMI adapter cable at any electronics/computer store. Some HDTVs won't accept HD signal from the VGA port, and it is best to run the TV at its native resolution (should be 1920 x 1080).

Probably. The engine on which New Vegas is being built is the same as that of Fallout 3, and I don't see a reason to prune the 360 controller input because some people like using them for some reason.

Personally I'd just grab a wireless KB and Mouse. I tried playing Fallout 3 with mine(I bought one for racing games lol) and got irritated ten minutes into it. And all I did was walk around Megaton.

Look at the Steam page for New Vegas, it says Controller Enabled.
