A vault to remember.

IMO Fallout is all about vaults. I loved the vaults in this game with their social experiments and there dark storys to uncover
What i would realy like to see is the addition of more vaults, maybe through a DLC like oblivion had
I want a vault that hasnt been destroyed, where their inhabitants still live the vault life (not like vault 21, i want a fully functional vault)
I havent played the first few fallouts, was their a vault like this? one you could live in with fellow human beings?
I'd even alow vault 21 to have the concrete removed and people live in there, or vault 3's current inhabitants destroyed and some friendly ones introduced.
Does anybody else share my ideas?

Fallout isn't all about the Vault's, they're just one of the key pieces of the backstory.

Anywho, a DLC revolving around a single Vault would be pretty pathetic as a DLC. As a plug-in? MAYBE.

Not really, it's more of a main part of the Enclave's story. In terms of The Great War and the Fallout Universe as a whole, they play little more than a role as a place of bizarre failures of insane experiments and so on.

ya know this just got me thinking about the fact that fallout's story is very odd in comparison to any other type of story...there really isn't one. Its just a LOT of GREAT lore and [censored] that happens...there is no overarching story, just life in the wasteland

I dunno,

The Vaults are pretty integral to Fallout 1 and 2.

NCR is a Vault-based society, a lot of people forget this.

A Vault as its own add-on? Only if it's a big as the lore says they are. Which is to say holds one thousand people and takes up most of a mountains interior. A Vault in a DLC? Why not? I don't expect to see one in Zion but I see no reason why one wasn't in Pittsburgh. Then again Vault 13 and 15 were pretty far from anything so a Vault in Zion might not be out of the question. Who knows how the National Parks were treated in this alternate history, right?

Also, the story of Fallout is that war never changes. All the lore exists to communicate this idea.

I Always wanted a proper vault, I was hoping for a few side quests where you have to get the vault lots of supplies and you would get a Unique item realating to The vaultsD:

I was really hopeing that we would get to find a vault in NV that was still being lived in, not sure why we would be allowed inside though but it would be cool.

The vaults inhabitants dont have to be the original dwellers, just people who moved in. If a vault can handle 1000 people then why not?
I like the idea of one being in Zion, If the area is untouched by nuke's then maybe they could of predicted this before the war and added one there. Im not sure what the closest cities are, but they could of evacuated people there nowing that when they emerge they would be able to gather food and what not .... a little late for that now but...

I was always disappointed that Pittsburgh and Point Lookout didn't have any Vaults, despite being fairly population-heavy areas.

So yes, there needs to be a DLC with a Vault or two. Or three.
