The power suit problems after 1.02?

So, I can gather from the general atmosphere that all is still not well :D

I just wondered if this specifically had been covered in the patch? I'm all but done with the game, in mind not percentage of game completed, as I have been seemingly barred from getting the armor through Arcade or the BoS. The BoS is locked up with both the characters telling me to come back later, and Arcade simply doesn't offer me the mission no matter how many triggers I set off.

It's a possibility I could go back a few dozen saves to redo arcade if his mission will now trigger, but not so with the BoS. It's WAY way back and would essentially mean beginning again.

I feel really brow beaten with this game. I'm just kind of tired and disappointed with it after having invested so much time. I know the armor isn't essential to complete the game, but for me it's as important to the experience as visiting the vaults is and it takes a giant poop on the games family tree.

Anyway, some clarity on this would be really appreciated. Many thanks in advance.

I don't think it's possible for the patch to repair a bug that's already occured. It would only prevent it from happening again, I would think. The only way to fix it would be reverting back to an old save or starting a new game. It's something we shouldn't have to put up with, I know, but if you've already purchased the game and can't sell it for a decent amount then you owe it to yourself to at least give it another try, or shelve it. I prefer the former. Others would disagree, and I have no problem with that. This [censored] excuse of a game is ridiculous.

*possible spoiler*

Yeah, I guess that's why I'm asking. There's a faint glimmer of wanting to get back into it.

This reminds me of the enormity of the oblivion Vampire bug where you couldn't ever be cured on the GOTY edition. That too was the final "What the hell am I bothering with this for" moment for me.

If I go back to before I tried to trigger Arcade (And in doing so basically used up all of the triggers at my current save) at all then I need to go through all of the house always wins until number V I believe, if I remember the wiki on Arcade rightly, to trigger his quest.
I'll have to do a large portion of things I've already done and decided upon, likely forgetting why I allocated various points here or there or what I forgot to do this time around.

...I just don't want to bother if it isn't fixed. That said is it an absolute certainty that these fuggups can't be fixed if you've already saved past them?

most likely, yes, unless there's some kind of trick to it. you could check out the fallout wiki and see what kind of bugs are listed there, if any. your best bet would be to start a new game and try and work with a different faction while doing the quest( I'm not sure if you have to be allied with house, my bad if you do). you may not encounter the glitch, among others, while playing.

also, you can check gstaff's post about game updates, which shows the quests they fixed(hopefully, although I'm still reading about problems, and it seems like dev's have just stopped coming around), among other things.

if your starting a new game I'd suggest a quick clean-up of your system to get rid of corrupt files. google safe mode ps3 forums, and "restore file system" , this will also get rid of corrupt saves as well, so those will be gone. this will most likely not be an issue. If you tried to load the save before, it would have tried, then said something like "the file is corrupted and could not be loaded" and show an error code in brackets, or just be incredibly difficult to play without it crashing.
