Arcade Gannon lost post-patch

Post » Tue Jan 18, 2011 11:35 am

Hello everyone!

So I have played around 67 hours done most of the main quest and decided to keep Vegas for my self (kill Mr.House and Follow Yes-Man). I have send all of my companions to wait for me in the Lucky 38 suite pretty much for the whole game since I didn't want them to get involved. After doing a lot an reaching the point right before saving president Kimball (or whatever is his name) I decided to do my companions side-quests. So I go the Lucky38 suite an I am missing Veronica and Arcade Gannon.. After installing the patch 1.02 today I reloaded the same save in order to see if it was a bug that was fixed. Veronica is there but I cannot find Arcade Gannon.. I have tried looking for him in the Old Mormon Fort and Vault 22 elevator but he is nowhere to be found. I play the game on PS3 (so I cannot use the console commands).

Any ideas on where Arcade Gannon is?

Thank you!

Have you tried waiting the 3 in-game days to see if he would return to the Mormon fort? Also I noticed when I had sent him to wait for me at the Lucky 38 he took his sweet ass time getting there, I actually encountered him wandering towards Vegas out in the wasteland a few times, before he finally showed up at the 38. I never had that problem with anyone except Gannon.

hi again and thank you for your replies! unfortunately yes I have waited more than 30 (!!!!) days using the wait feature 20 days where before the patch and 10 days just when I downloaded the patch.. Last time I saw him was in Lucky 38, I took him in my party in order to give him a combat armor and then told him to go and wait for me in the Lucky 38 suite (I wanted to do a couple of quests before using him again). After that I never saw him again. Same think happened with Veronica but when I downloaded the patch she was just back in the Lucky 38!

I could be wrong here, but I was under the impression that yes you could have 2 companions, but one human and the other animal/robot. So you could have Boone and ED-E or Lily and Rex, but not Boone and Lily. I myself tried to recruit Cass on my first play through after I had already picked up Veronica, I asked her to join but she said "looks like you got one to many." or something similar. Can anyone confirm this?

hey, yes you can only have a human AND a robot companion at a time (not two humans nor two robots). If you try to recruit another human companion while you have one on your party you get the message "looks like you got one to many".

After you find Lucky 38 you are able to tell your companions and wait there so if you want to switch between them you dont have to go back to the town you first found them.

The issue I have is that while Arcade Gannon was waiting for me in the Lucky 38 casino suite he suddenly disappeared and I never saw him again. And the worst part is that I haven't found a solution yet to this problem..

Ahh, gotcha, I lost ED-E after telling him to go back to the 38 and he's just gone(been 2 weeks in game time now.) Guess we just have to wait for the patch and hope it fixes things like this.
