Complaint to the Store You Bought the Game From

Let's put pressure on the creators for a solution to the issues. Call the store where you bought your game and complain. If they have unhappy customers, they will put pressure on the creators of the game to come up with a solution. Make the call.

I highly doubt your plan would work as you think it would. I'm sure that Gamestop et al. are not really able to do that...

Unfortunately correct. There are two ways you can put pressure on them.

1) Don't buy their products until you feel they are making them with the quality you want.
2) Post and Blog about your experiences to reach out to other potential buyers.

You do now it does not work that way right? The best way to be heard is on the forums here. Calling and harassing GameStop, Best Buy, ect.. will do nothing but possibly get you in trouble with the law <-(only happens if you keep calling)
