Probably Can't Run on my Comp

Post » Wed May 16, 2012 11:34 am

Current Specs:
Pentium? Dual Core @ 2.50Ghz,
2gb of ram
Ati Radeon HD 3450 256mb
Win 7 32bit

I done some research to figure out if anyone has specs similar to mine. Even though some people may have been able to run the game fairly well on lower cards, my GPU is a low profile, non-gaming one, with 256mb Vram with little room to upgrade, literally(I have a slimline, so I can barely fit any parts in, especially a PSU; currently 150watt). i bought this around early 2008, so most people say that I should just save up for a new PC.

Saving for a Desky isn't a problem, but I'm a university student and Itll be odd carrying around a desktop for that long. What I'm wondering is this...

1. is there any way to play skyrim some what smoothly on my machine?

2. Any suggestions of Laptops that I can save up for that can run Skyrim really well(not ULTRA, but around med, high if possible) without it being too expensive?

Laptops aren't my preference, so I have to look some up a bit and inform myself further. Research is fun nontheless. Thank you :batman:

1. Answer yourself this question, "Can I run Oblivion all sliders up @ 60+ Fps with this rig?" If not, then you have no chance in running this game at all.
2. Do NOT buy a laptop for gaming unless you want to spend over 3 grand, in which case you might as well splurge on a powerful desktop instead. (IE: Desktops are a lot more powerful for considerably less than an much more expensive laptop!)

Hope this helps!

Like I said earlier, I go to school and as much as I would love to get a better Desktop, it'll probably be a hassle lugging it to my dorms and all that. Not considering an overall Gaming Laptop, heavens no, just wondering if theres a way I can be versatile, but still manage to play Skyrim well on the side. If all your answers are similar to the one above. then i apologize for repeating.
