Post Kodlaks death and the quest(s) that follow, you get a quest from vilkas called "purity". When I enter into it he will not follow me and the quest goes into the completed section. I have tried going to Yssgramor (?) to see if maybe he was there and it could still be completed (with witches heads in tow) It could not. I tried activting the flames and nothing happened. I will not touch this quest until a patch is released and will begrudgingly continue onward as a werewolf with no way of absolving myself or my companions of this lycanthropic curse (and also no way of getting xp bonuses from sleeping!) Luckily my character is kind of a badass anyway and will just deal with it and likely use it to his advantage
