On several of the alchemy perks it says "potions and poisons you make are x % stronger" or something similar. So my question is this. I would assume that these perks don't apply to potions you loot or buy, which seems like the perks are not as powerful then if that assumption is correct. Also how would you be able to tell the difference between crafted potions and non-crafted in your inventory? Or do the perks simply mean that before you could only create minor or weak potions/poisons and with that perk you can now create higher level potions/poisons that change the name to something such as average or major potions/poisons. Does this mean main difference between what is a weak potion/poison and a strong one is your perks and not the ingredients used or your actual skill level? I'm simply confused how it works, and I never spent much time with alchemy in Oblivion and it seems very convoluted in my head at least.
Also, if I have understood the Smithing perk tree correctly the right side with Dwarven/Orcish/Ebony/Daedric is for heavy armor and the left with Elven/Glass is light armor but where does this leave the advanced armor? The description says you can create scale and plate armor with the perk... what does that mean? Also can we not improve leather and fur light armor?
I know these are minor and the game comes out 48 hours but I'm itching to find out every scrap of knowledge I can. Thanks you guys.
