I've been noticing that I use this console command a lot lol. My companions die from time to time and even worse random NPC's get killed by dragons. So, I was thinking perhaps there could be a spell that uses the resurrect console command. Also if possible, it could not reset their armor or disposition towards you.

I think it would make a fine addition, and in a game with reanimation of zombies, its always nice to have the 'good' equivalent of that ability.

This game sure wont have a shortage of spells once we get the CK... We'll need 'Spell Delete' soon after

I believe Setessential is the console command you're looking for.

Note that SetEssential requires the formID of the base form - the refID won't work. I think this line will get you the formID you need:

the only problem with that is you could abuse it...and sit there and rez kill some random NPC that you (for whatever reason) hold a grudge against...or basically just sit there and hammer with spells/attacks to insure that you get that skill level you want without paying some NPC for it...

Yeah but you can also do that just fine with a summoned Atronach. EVERY skill in the game is easily abusable to max.

Still Id make ressurection a Master level restoration spell to be honest, or at least expert

I look forward to this being added. Maybe as a shout with a long cooldown. I left Lydia's body in a specific spot so I could resurrect her some day.

I was thinking along the lines of a resurrection spell that costs a decent amount of mana.
