What do you think about that?

Something as "command and conquer": we have several factions and we chose one.

Or "civilization style": We leave Vault and trying to create a stable state and choose which technology we will develop, in the process.

100% yes, absolutely!

I would love a noncanon game similar to LotR: Battle for Middle Earth, in which we can take various settings and factions from all the games and pit them against one another.

Imagine all the special troop types like NCR Veteran Rangers, The Master's Nightkin, Enclave Hellfire troops, or Barnaky's Inquisitioners. And then the powerful "hero" types like Legate Lanius, Frank Horrigan, the Lyons Pride, or perhaps even companions or special unlockable player characters like the Vault Dweller.

Different factions could get benefits and abilities, like NCR can have more troops, or produce them faster, Legion can have better training=more damage, faster running, etc. Brotherhood can acquire resources more quickly, Enclave can call in vertibirds support.

Locations can even be dynamic, with things like radiation and dangerous wildlife such as deathclaws or radscorpions inhabiting certain parts of the map.

Yeah... I want this.

Any fleshed-out universe with faction-level conflicts can make a decent RTS, Fallout has a lot of potential in that capacity. I've been thinking about that idea for years and I would pay all the monies for such a thing

I think a CoH style RTS would work best, being less about base building and just focused purely on combat.

The 3 doctrine system would also work well.

For NCR, the standard Infantry/Airborne/Armour would probably work for them. Armour in this case being centered more around PA units, though I'm willing to bet NCR could field actual working armoured vehicles without too much difficulty.

BoS is pretty easy, three doctrines are West Coast/East Coast/Midwest. West coast being an early game focused faction, East coast being a late game focused faction, with the Liberty Prime super unit of course and Midwest being good all around.

Legion would probably be Lanius tactics/Frumentarii infiltration/Native tribes. Native tribes being people like the Khans and White Legs.

You could probably toss in a special "Old World" faction, so you could fit in Enclave/Institute/House as a doctrine each.

I always enjoyed the C&C franchise of games and the few Civilization ones I own included for their replay-ability factor... I could see a Fallout style being enjoyable maybe with a Warzone 2100 twist where you emerge into the wasteland and begin searching for examples of pre-war tech to build your base and expand from your starting point. An open design building for vehicles and such would also be nice.

One thing I disliked about the C&C games is to gain certain vehicles, infantry/dogs, and buildings you always had to send an engineer to commandeer a building to gain said enemy tech...

Yes, I've been wanting something like civ but for the fallout universe for so long. I actually looked to see if there were something like this out there but there is only a crappy mod for civ.

Something like Tropico would be amazing. The same goes for TES.

The oportunity to build up a settlement from scratch into city status. Having to scavange or mine materials, construct buildings & paths, set up industry and trade, police against crime, satisfy guilds and religious sects, have an army to defend against raiders or other attacks...

This

And then maybe something like total war's multiplayer? Bring your armies to the battlefield and fight over resources with other players.
