Hey All, just a quick question regarding skill lvl and its effectiveness.

Does having a higher rating in a skill make the skill more effective?

For example:

With no perk points spent in a skill tree, will casting flame at destruction skill level 20 be the same damage as skill level 50?

Yes.

The only way to improve spell damage is through perks, dual casting or poisoning enemies with weakness to the elements.

8 damage will be dealt at level 1 as well as level 50, both with 20 destruction or 100 destruction.

BUT you get better spells.
