Skyrim DLC Packs for PS3

Post » Thu Dec 06, 2012 2:43 pm

I would like to know why 3 Downloadable content packs (DLC's) have been released for Xbox 360, when they were promised to be brought out for Playstation 3 as well. When Dawnguard was released it was said that the DLC pack was to come out on Xbox 360 first, then Playstation 3 1 month later; when this did not happen it was very confusing. It seems a bit unfair on myself and other fellow Playstation 3 gamers when they were dying for the extension to Elder Scrolls Skyrim to keep playing this amazing game more and more. It has been 5 months since that release date was announced and still nothing has been done about it. Playstation 3 gamers were hoping for Dawnguard to be released after all this time there has still seems to have been nothing done about it. It seems very unfair that Playstation 3 gamers are not being allowed this extra privelege of these 3 DLC packs that Xbox 360 already have. I would like Bethesda to work on this which they already should have been doing, since they have had the time to bring out 2 other DLC packs for Xbox 360. Playstation 3 should be entitled to downloading not just Dawnguard but Hearthfire and Dragonborn too. If this is a problem with Sony then I will chase it up with Sony as well because I just want for Playstaion 3 gamers to be allowed these DLC's just as much as Xbox 360 gamers are. Any thoughts, ideas ?

Promised
Confusing
Unfair
Hoping
Privelege
Entitled

Some of the words you've chosen are humorous to me, but what gamers are truly entitled to is a separate conversation.

Anyway to avoid going too much off topic, Beth has stated numerous times that they've had a hard time getting the DLC stable enough to release on the PS3. They've also stated that Dragonborn will be coming to the PS3 in early 2013, so there's still hope for Dawnguard and Hearthfire as well.

I played Skyrim on PS3 for the first year after release but now I wouldn't buy the DLC on PS3 even if they released it at reduced price. I picked up an Xbox a few weeks ago to play Morrowind and it came with a free copy of Skyrim as a download, so I paid for the DLC on Xbox and no longer have a need for it on PS3. I kind of like having Skyrim both ways (with DLC and without) since Dawnguard does a bunch of stuff to the game that I don't necessarily want to have in my game all the time.

I just find it weird that Dragonborn has been announced for PS3 but no news about Dawnguard or Hearthfire... :nope:

It is a bit curious. I wonder what is so special/difficult about getting Dawnguard and Hearthfire to work on the PS3 while apparently Dragonborn is coming out just fine once the paid for delay is over with.

BestBuy. They have a holiday bundle for $250 for a 250GB Xbox console, with a download code for Skyrim and a driving game as well. Not sure if they were still offering it, but it was quite a deal for me, especially since I was mainly planning on playing Morrowind on it. I like having Skyrim as a download because now I don't have to put a disc in to play Skyrim. It took almost two hours to download it though on my DSL line.

I hardly use the PS3 anymore, although I still prefer the PS3 controller to the Xbox. I am always going into favorites on the Xbox when all I want is a hotkey because the Xbox has only one button for the Dpad, whereas the PS3 has seperate buttons.
