Steel plate armor - where to be found? : V

Hey guys!

Can I loot/"find" Steel plate armor while leveling just like most other stuff, or is it available only via the Advanced Armor Perk for Smiths?

You can often find bandit chiefs wearing it at higher levels, it is also often found as loot.

Base level for it to start appearing as loot is 18 although it can appear earlier if you're in a place that is levelled high enough. Bandit chieftains seem to be the foe wearing it most often for me.

Bit of smithing skills won't hurt though, so you will be able to easly boost the steelplate armor to the def cap and won't ever be forced to wear ugly dragon, daedra, orc etc armor.

I think some of mods have removed thing from the game. I've never found any fortify carry weight or ancient nord armour. Maybe you've got something similar.

And I believe that they have it even at level 1. It is, however, somewhat hard to obtain from them at an early level

I think some of mods have removed thing from the game. I've never found any fortify carry weight or ancient nord armour. Maybe you've got something similar.

I cannot speak for mods removing stuff but the carry weight enchant can be found in game

try the invisible chest in Dawnstar, it's good for farming enchantments

but the ancient nord armor can only be obtained

after you finish the companions quest line. But you need samples of the weapons to craft nordic hero weapons ie.. you need a ancient nord sword in your inventory to craft an nordic hero sword. And it all can only be crafted at the skyforge.

A Fortify Carry Weight necklace can be acquired from the band of roving drunks (revelers) that hang around Eastmarch. Keep a bottle of Honningbrew Mead in your inventory.
