The whole SpearsWerebears thing.

Is anyone else a little befuddled by just how insistent and how often those 2 things pop up everytime someone even makes a farting noise that remotely sounds like the word "DLC"?

I mean okay they might have been understandeable as wished additions to something like Dawnguard as they could fit. But come on, at least 3 Hearthfire topics I've seen have had people bring up "maybe they will add those 2 as a surprise to Hearthfire" and it honestly baffles me.

If anything, if Hearthfire added a not as of yet mentioned gamejam thing it would likely be something like seasonal foliage with footprints in the snow to go with it as one would be an enhancement coupled with something that adds to atmosphere and fits a little more with the whole concept of the DLC.

Don't get me wrong, I would love spears and werebears at some point (for both gameplay and lore/RP reasons) but Christ guys, take it easy already, the desperation is getting just a little too much.

Thoughts?

I understand Werebears to an extent (lore says there'd be mo- well... there'd be werebears in Skyrim.) But I dont get the fascination with it. Seems like it'd just be a reskinned werewolf.

As for spears, I dont get it. Apart from poking things from afar(That bows can do) and hitting things up close (that any weapon can do) what exactly would they bring to the table? Well... maybe rp stuff.

Werebears I can get the attraction, but with spears I can think of more interesting weapons to have.

Like i said before, I like Werebears for lore purposes.

Spears also seem like a very appropriate dragon killing tool.

But there are also so many other cool items we could see: Halberds, Flails, Tower Shields, new armors, etc.

I think what just gets me questioning the whole thing is just how it sometimes comes off as almost painfully desperate to the point I just want to sit some of those people down and offer them a hot beverage and a hug and tell them to just let it go and hopefully some day it will come :P
