Those who reinstalled a few days ago

Post » Wed May 16, 2012 11:19 pm

Ive been following several threads the past few days and as I understand it, there are a few of you who re installed skyrim, downloaded the patch, and started a new game. I am very interested in your progress now that it's been a few days and you have logged some hours in game. Please share your hours played, save file size, and your opinion on your new games performance as far as bugs, frame rate, freezing or anything else. We are all in need of some solid information from people who have started from scratch. Thanks!

I am about 10 hrs. in after starting fresh. Turned all auto saves off. Last night my last save was about 3500kb's. No issues so far, the game seems to be running smoother for me. Also hearing NPC dialogue I had not heard before. I have a slim 250gig if that matters. I also took the advice of an earlier post and cleared my PS3's memory cache, don't know if that makes a difference but thought I'd mention it.

I've been wondering too. I have 96 hrs in and for the first 4 hrs the patch worked great, and althopugh the lag is still not as bad, it's only about 30% improved. My file size also went from 12mb to 11mb and hasn't gone down any more after 10hrs more play. So I tend to agree, if a file is corrupt, it's corrupt and this patch was not designed to fix corrupt files. So I will save this game on an SD chip and start a new one and see how things go ? I was gonna replay another char any way.
