I thoroughly enjoyed searching out all of the unique loot...weapons and armor....especially the enchanted items like "Boots of Blinding Speed". Oblivion didn't seem to make much of a priority of the unique loot.

Any word yet if Skyrim will have more or less?

I'm hoping more.

There are more collectable stuff than Oblivion. DragonPriests Masks for Example.

I haven't been playing for long and I've already come across quite a bit of unique loot.

There is unique loot.

For instance, I saw a Dwemer shield lying on the floor, hidden away behind some things, in a Dwemer ruin.
In Oblivion that was mostly iron and steel, with some sliver now and then.

And an ebony shield from a displayed dead Nord in a draugr dungeon.
