Unknown Symbol from Oblivion

I was hoping I could find some information on this symbol:

It is found in the... I'm not sure what they're called exactly- Sigil Towers? The platform it is on is sometimes a portal. I'm wondering if anyone might know what it is, and if there is history or meaning to it. Thanks.

Symbol means "go here, you're there."

I'm sure it isn't. It's probably undeterminable as well, like the Dwemeri language perhaps. I could be very wrong, but I doubt it. Looks interesting though.

I'm with Knight Mariel. It doesn't look like it has any meaning. Probably the design of a tattoo the artist wanted to get on their shoulder or something.

Cool beans. Thanks. I thought it maybe looked like a hornet, but that's most likely because of the view of my camera. Ah well.

it does look like a wasp of some kind. first thing i thought of when i saw it was the Baltimore Orioles :P

Hmm... wasps do have some symbolic, mythic significance, though I have no idea what that would be.
