It's been a long time since I played with making my own items. What's eveyone's favorite way to god-ify themselves? So far I've boosted my MP by about 400 with 3 items (3x health leech on use, +magic points in winter, fall, spring and summer and repairs items). Kinda necessary with a pure mage.

The best way to "godify" yourself, as you say, is to train all your magic skills as high as possible. Then, enchant an item to raise each magic skill over 105 (over 110 is preferable). While wearing those items, you'll be able to cast ANY spell in those magic schools for the minimum spell point cost, no matter how powerful the spell is. For example, Spell Reflection Duration 60 + 60 per level, Chance 100-100 + 100-100 per level, and it only costs 5 spell points to cast! This essentially makes you immune to all magic except paralysis, disease, and poison.

My favorite effect when I'm hanging around in town is the Raise Reputation with All.

For starters, enchant every weapon with enhance skill to the skill to use it. The heavier metals, both weapons and armor, can really use feather weight as well.

Beyond these, I usually create a whole suite of items as the means become available.

Krol hit upon the most abusable part of enchanting in Daggerfall. Though not an enchantment of its own, another exploit I found is to use Daedra Lord souls; they provide more points that Dragonlings or Ancient Liches. However, if you load up the item on enchantments and leave only one slot, when you add the gem, you won't get any of the nasty side-effects the soul will give you, hence giving you 6000 enchantment points without drawback; you can remove the extra enchantments you selected and then re-select the ones you wanted, and the side-effects still won't return.
